Savings with Style!

Start Saving with Style with Southern Coupon Belle! I'm now COUPONING IN CoMo!
What happens when a Coupon Expert in one region of the USA moves to another area of the country? I have started over learning new stores, coupon policies and building a reasonable stock pile and savings routine from scratch since October 1, 2011. I was an expert in Atlanta and the South but now happily reside in Columbia, Missouri!

I've searched other blogs and sites but I can't find someone else in my shoes so hopefully reading how I started over can help you! Whether you are a seasoned couponer in a new area OR a beginner- I know I can help walk you through what to do and help you start saving big! Starting over has made me realize how newbies to coupons feel and made me walk a grocery store aisle or two in a beginner's shoes again! Email me at southerncouponbelle@gmail.com and let me know how I can help! Thanks for reading and taking this journey with me!

Couponing in CoMo 101: Take your Aldi's ad to Walmart!

One of the ways we saved HUGE today was price matching at Walmart for produce using our Aldi's ad from the Sunday paper. The Walmart commercials say you don't need the ad but I take it anyways because some of the price differences were big. I also put all the produce that I wanted to price match at the front of my order so I could walk through the changes with the cashier, not take up extra time in line and keep the process simple.
This is our haul from today:
Pineapple whole- .99 each, 10lbs potatoes- $1.69 a bag, Strawberries 1lb- $1.29, Cantaloupe- .99 each! And you can buy more than 1! I kept the ad and we plan to do the deal a couple of times this week to really stock up.
And trust me- I didn't rob Walmart and I did like their prices on produce without the Aldi's ad. Our Broadway Walmart had 3 lb bags of Cuties oranges for $2.50 and that same bag is almost $5 at some local grocery stores. And of course we bought WAY more than produce so the price matching is just a "Get you in the door, inhale the crazy Walmart air that makes you forget why you came to Walmart, spend way more than you planned and swear you aren't going back again but will be back in a day or so" marketing genius plan!
I know the 2lbs of strawberries we bought will be gone in a day or two so we will be doing this price matching deal all week!

Start Your Summer Garden Now with Penny's Tomatoes!

I know- I'm a total slacker but still settling, figuring out the coupon thing and trying to decide my direction here in Missouri.
The weather has been mild and I think we survived it! Now it's time to look forward to Spring and it's time to be seed starting for our first garden here in Columbia!

A few weeks ago- I ordered seeds from a website I heard about last year- it was too late for our garden in Georgia but I bookmarked the site and I can't wait to start my tomato seeds this week! What I loved about Penny's- here's the link- http://www.pennystomatoes.com/ is first of all- the tomatoes are GORGEOUS! but she had an option where you tell her where you live and she made recommendations for your plants. I'm new to the Midwest, used to dealing with hot, Georgia summers with Georgia clay so her suggestions and the variety she sent me are exciting! I have another site that suggest I start my seeds indoors this week so that's my plan. I'll report back about the tomatoes we grow but I already know we are going to have a delicious 1st summer in Missouri!

http://www.pennystomatoes.com/
Check her site out and if you are into hot peppers- her hubby has his site also- http://www.pepperjoe.com/ I have checked both sites out thoroughly and Penny and Joe are top notch!

Product Review: Purex Triple Action Detergent

Photobucket

I love being a Purex Insider so I can try Purex products and share my opinion with my readers! I tried the Purex Triple Action Free and Clear laundry detergent and loved it! My laundry was fresh, bright, clean and white! I especially loved washing our linens in the Triple Action Formula combined with the Purex Crystals for super clean, soft and fresh linens for our beds.

Purex is my favorite detergent line because Purex is conscience that we all are trying to save money but not sacrifice our laundry in the process! And be on the lookout for the "Prove It to Yourself" TV campaigns to air shortly where you can go to www.FreeSamplePurex.com and try the Triple Action Formula for yourself!

Leave a comment or shoot me an email. I've requested some free product coupons to giveaway! Tell me what is most important to you when deciding on a detergent.

Purex provided a free sample of their Triple Action laundry detergent so I could write a review. However, all of the opinions expressed here are my own.

App Review 101: Motivated Moms 2012

It's January 1st and we all are making resolutions and ways to improve in 2012. Motivated Moms is my favorite home organization/cleaning system for years now. The updated app for my Apple products is my ultimate fav for the second year in a row!
This year it's only $7.99 and it includes the ability to assign daily tasks to family members plus add/delete tasks etc.

I promise you that if you give it a try- you would be amazed at how easy it is! Just add a little discipline, guidance from Motivated Mom and the addition of the daily lists to your life! It will keep your house so clean, organized and free up your time to do what you want with your family.

TRUST ME- it works!!
