Whether you are a seasoned couponer in a new area OR a beginner- I know I can help walk you through what to do and help you start saving big! Starting over has made me realize how newbies to coupons feel and made me walk a grocery store aisle or two in a beginner's shoes again! My favorite colors at Kroger are yellow and orange!

You should be looking for these colors too! They are on the Manager's Special markdown stickers!
You can find these stickers on all sorts of items throughout the store.

Produce, Deli, Meat, Seafood, Organics, Dairy, Bread and on the closeouts. Most are still far from their buy by date or expiration dates. Tonight I got a pack of hamburger buns for .49 cents and a package of english muffins for .49 cents.

Last week, we purchased a take and bake Private Selection Hawaiian pizza that's normally $8.99 for $4.49 and a salad mix for .99 cents. The pizza was wonderful for just over $4 bucks! Our family of four ate dinner for just over $5.00!

The Organic markdowns are great. I got some Acai drinks and teas for about 50% of their original price. Manager's Specials are a great way to try new products without spending a lot out of pocket.

I've also gotten some great deals on yogurt and yogurt drinks. You can use a coupon on a markdown so I've gotten several for free. Yes, you have to pay attention to the expiration dates but luckily yogurt flies through my house with 2 girls.

Some people are worried about the markdown meat. Never had a problem in 7 years. I just plan to use that night or it goes immediately in the freezer. This is the way we eat steak at least once a week. We get really nice cuts for less than 30-40% or more than their original price.

The girls love going to the store and being on the lookout for these stickers. We'll often stop by a Kroger when running other errands just to scan the store for specials. Takes just a couple of minutes and the savings is worth it!

I am always suprised when people have trouble with markdown meat -- like you said, freeze or eat within the time.

This is a great way to eat better for less! ... I find the same deals a lot of time with sausage and bacon. I just cook it all that night and eat great for the rest of the week.
